| Although the Shota Osabe Trio also contains Harold Jones and Shota Osabe, both who are obviously talented and well-known in their own right, what makes this album so special is that Happy Coat is the second to last recording of the great double-bassist, Ray Brown. He recorded this wonderful album a mere 123 days before his death. The trio performance is legendary and the sound is very warm and cozy. If you are a fan, you must have a copy of this great album to add to your valuable collection. Additionally Happy Coat was recorded by Grammy award winners, Erik Zobler and Al Schmitt in 2002. Available on the NEW K2 HD format which is playable in any CD player this is a must have release. –Kevin Berg, 2008
